Thailand is an independent country that lies in the heart of Southeast Asia. The largest city in Thailand is Bangkok, the capital, which is also the country's center of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities. Thailand's population is approximately 64 million. The country is a kingdom, a constitutional monarchy, with King Bhumibol Adulyadej. He is the ninth king of the House of Chakri, and has reigned since 1946, making him the world's longest-serving current head of state and the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history.
Tom Yung Goong
Like most Thai dishes, Tom Yum Goong soup incorporates the five essential elements of taste that form the foundation of this complex cuisine; hot, bitter, salty, sour and sweet.
In Thailand, especially Bangkok, most families and teenagers eat out and enjoy shopping centers. On holidays, Thai people love to go to the beach and picnic with relatives. Since school is very competitive, many Thai teenagers have tutorial classes on the weekends and often take special classes like languages, sports or arts.
