        Dim Sum

Dim Sum is the Cantonese term for a type of traditional Chinese dish that involves small individual portions of food, usually served in a small steamer basket. It is usually linked with the older tradition of "yum cha" (tea tasting), which has its roots in travelers on the ancient Silk Road who required food and a place to rest. Dim Sum was then a snack for the travellers but, today, it has become a staple of Chinese cuisine.
