Adrienne Eaton Regional Placement Director

International exchange has always been a passion of mine. As a student I loved learning about other cultures and always enjoyed studying a foreign language. In high school and college I had the opportunity to experience cultural exchange myself as a student in France. I was lucky both times to live with great host families who really opened my eyes to a new world. It was so heartening to know that these families were willing to open their homes to a complete stranger and share their lives and their country with me. Immersing myself in the lives and traditions of a family from another country was truly an amazing experience.

After graduating from college, I knew that international education was in my future. I was very excited when I began to explore EF Foundation and its role in cultural exchange. Knowing how much of an impact a host family can have on an exchange student’s life, I felt that I could contribute a lot to the program. My personal experience with host families allows me to understand what an important part of an exchange year they can be. I was thrilled by the opportunity to be able to work for an organization so dedicated to providing this chance to students around the world.
