Why Host

Hosting an exchange student is the perfect way to bring the world into your home. Your host student will be eager to tell you all about his or her home country, family traditions and culture. You and your family can learn a few words of another language, sample new foods, and make a profound personal connection. Our Students

I was a little nervous to leave my friends and family in Brazil and come on my exchange year in Alabama. But my host family was so nice, that I felt like I was part of their family right away. It was so hard to leave at the end of the year, but I am already planning to come back to visit. I am so lucky because now I have two families!

All I can say to my host family is - THANK YOU! I never thought I would learn so much and have so much fun. Thank you for making me a part of your family. I will never forget my year in the U.S!

I loved living in Kansas! At first, I wasn't sure if there would be a lot to do because I was staying in a small town. But I soon learned about all the different activities at school and in the community. I joined the drama club and yearbook committee and volunteered a lot with my host family, and it was so much fun!
