Become a Local Coordinator

Local coordinators are essential to the success of high school exchange. Our coordinators -- called International Exchange Coordinators (IECs) -- work at the local level to identify school slots for students, find caring families interesting in hosting, match students with families, and supervise students and families throughout the year. As the leader in high school exchange, EF Foundation provides better support, benefits and training to its coordinators than any other exchange organization.

EF Foundation has over 700 dedicated IECs who are passionate about exchange, about sharing ideas and about supporting one another every day. IECs are not employees, and although they are compensated with cash and rewards for their efforts, a "volunteer spirit" is essential.

To speak to someone today about joining us as a coordinator, call 1-800-44-SHARE (74273), or click here to fill out our online interest form.

"I love working with my families and students. We have so much fun together, we learn so much and laugh so often. And when it's time to take the students to the airport at the end of the year, we cry together. Being an IEC has enriched my life more than I can say." - Jan, IEC since 1993, South Dakota
